Meditation over the Vampiress
Its beauty was instantly arresting
with the casket lid shoved aside
the fecund smell of the earth inside
the face therein reposing
Stayed his hand now set to spring
as the smooth glow did confide
surely only joy must abide
in the breast of one so imposing
Wr@ped in a satin shroud so white
the bosom curves compel
that eros alone should dwell
and no wooden shaft despite
The hammer in hand respite
grant this wish, hold back as well
the grusome task which befell
this flinching heartfelt spite
Patchy ruby lips - they are not right
breath does not pass them
neither conceal that behind them
are bloodied teeth to hunt the night
Many agreived have met the light
to face a need for requiem
for the dead a shroud to hem
as the vampiress had flown the night
Steel up, man, and force the strike
that lovely breast is just a cave
it ripens nothing there to save
press on it now the spike
Recall parent and c h i l d alike
who sent you here unto this grave
bade you all their souls to save
bring back the head on lifted pike
A melting shreik does eminate
as the stake is struck into
the empty space where bid adieu
a heart which had once lost it's mate
Fire eternal the only fate
awaits the soul set loose to
never feel the morning dew
as Hell draws it to the Gate
Now complete the work quite grim
grab the hair, pull up the head
slash the sword; the blood runs red
the eyes open and then fall dim
The gory trophy set, praise to him
who cut away their suffering dread
and now may spend their nights in bed
and see in flight only seraphim
But peace will not of night be found
for the one who ripped and tore away
the one and only love betray
and ever hear the ghastly sound
As his one true love was found
when that night his eyes did lay
upon the face, before the spray
of stolen blood flew all around
His own empty heart by chance refilled
its blood mixed with that which touched
his own clothes; and though torched
still to his skin soaked, instilled
A longing ache never ever stilled
to crave the beauty he saw couched
in that coffin as it scorched
its image planted thus, deeply tilled
