Kai Marley and I visited the Bergamot Station in Santa Monica where the art struggle is real. Plenty of overpriced crap mixed in with a few rare gems. I once thought that becoming an artist would be a great way to avoid real work. I just needed to be clever and build hype around myself, then the suckers and the monies would follow. I was partially correct. I now realize that being successful as an artist also requires talent, thought, hard work, and luck, among other things. Don't be fooled by the multitude of sh!t-art with red dot stickers. No one is buying that garbage.

Just watched Noah Baumbach's latest, The Meyerowitz Stories. He maintains his established style with this film. Quick-paced, East Coast dialog, exploring human relationships with semi-elitist humor. Oh and there's conveniently an attractive young woman who eventually gets nekk i d. Hipsters, old men, and lesbians alike will appreciate those scenes (sorta like this site). It also pleases me that they decided to simultaneously release Meyerowitz Stories in theaters and on Netflix. Perhaps the industry dinosaurs are finally succumbing to the old adage. "if you can't beat them, join them." Dajah Wallace brings to mind the words of Morrison, "The future's uncertain and the end is always near." Think about that. Goodnight.

Here is another throwback to my earlier days of hiring strangers to take photos. My archives contain a wide variety of women and men, but I will assume you guys are only interested in the fairly young and attractive females. Let's rewind back to 2010. It seems like it was the year of the ginger. Yesterday, I was asked on Instagram (@zachvenice), "how does one get your job?" The answer is simple. You don't. You have to get off your ass and create for something like this. It also did not happen quickly for me. I made zero dollars until 2013. Nonetheless, I continued to take chances and continued to invest in my passion. Eventually and fortunately, I found a way to make it pay the bills. If you hate your current job, start making moves to get out. Might as well fail at something you love, right?
